State Department is Now Actively Encouraging Third-Country Visa Processing

Because of extremely lengthy wait times (as much as 3-4 years) at some US embassies and consulates, the US Department of State (DOS) provided a recent update urging any visa applicant to consider traveling to an embassy or consulate outside his or her home country with shorter wait times, thus better distributing the workload and hopefully helping to reduce overall processing times.
